SUPREME COURT GAMBLING DECISION

Now that the U.S. Supreme Court has struck down a federal law barring sports gambling, dozens of states could legalize sports betting. The Supreme Court ruling now gives states the option to legalize sports betting if they want.  There is also a proposed constitutional amendment on the November ballot that will allow Florida voters to decide if they want to control decisions about gambling, something now left up to the Legislature. If Amendment 3 passes, voters would have to approve any future expansion of gambling in Florida.
