NURSE OF THE YEAR AWARD

A Crestview nurse has been named Florida’s Registered Nurse of the Year by the Florida Health Care Association. Christie King has worked at the Crestview Rehabilitation Center for 23 years and has held the titles of assistant director of nursing, risk manager, interim director of nursing and floor RN. In her current position, she is responsible for the training and advancement of her students. Emmett Reed, executive director of the Florida Health Care Association, said she is a role model for everyone she comes into contact with.
