I-65 TRAFFIC FATALITY

Alabama State Troopers say an Alabama Army National Guardsman was killed in a traffic crash on I-65 yesterday morning when the military Humvee he was driving went off the road about six miles north of the Atmore exit and overturned. Troopers said 38-year-old John Waldrop, of Satsuma, Alabama, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle was transported to D.W. McMillan Hospital in Brewton. Both were members of the 1156th Military Police. The investigation is continuing.
