CRESTVIEW INTERIM POLICE CHIEF NAMED

Crestview Mayor David Cadle has named an interim police chief to replace fired former Police Chief Tony Taylor. He is Commander Jamie Grant who has been on the force for 27 years. A month-long investigation concluded that Taylor played favorites among the staff and was inconsistent with rules in the department. Grant says he plans to get back to old school community policing and has already made changes in the downtown business district by adding bike and foot patrols.
