ALABAMA FUGITIVE CAPTURED

Deputies from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department in Florida captured an Alabama escapee yesterday afternoon following a manhunt in central Escambia County. Christopher Hosford was wanted in Escambia County, Alabama on a variety of charges including escape  from a community corrections program. Escambia County Florida deputies made a traffic stop on West Highway 4 near Still Road Wednesday afternoon and Hosford ran from the vehicle. He was eventually found hiding in a corn field on Dortch Road by deputies, a K-9 team from the Escambia County Road Prison and an aircraft from Escambia County, Alabama, and transported to the Escambia County Jail in Pensacola. A female in the car was also taken into custody.
