IN GOD WE TRUST

Starting on the first day of school, all public schools and school district buildings in the state will be required to display the Florida state motto “In God We Trust.” The motto must be displayed in a conspicuous location in the more than 4,000 public schools in the state of Florida. School principals can decide how the words will be displayed and many schools may opt to put up the State Seal since the motto is on the Seal. The deadline is the first day of school which varies around the State. Florida is one of six states that mandates the display of “In God We Trust” in public schools.
