A driver traveling in reverse on Interstate 10 Saturday night, collided with and Escambia County Fire Rescue battalion chief’s vehicle. It happened about 9:15 pm as the driver was backing up on I-10 in the westbound lane near Highway 29 as the fire chief approached. The battalion chief was not injured, and the driver was not seriously injured. The crash was investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol.
