TUESDAY NIGHT TRAFFIC FATALITY IDENTIFIED

The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the Jay woman who was killed in a traffic crash at Highway 29 and State Road 97, Tuesday night. Troopers say 76-year-old Benny Wolfe, of Jay, was northbound on highway 29 when he collided with a southbound pickup truck driven by 58-year-old Lamar Wade of Pensacola. Wolfe’s passenger – 71-year-old Johnnie Wolfe –   was airlifted to Sacred Heart where she died from her injuries. Benny Wolfe suffered minor injuries and was charged with failure to yield the right of way. Wade was uninjured.
