GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN CONTINUES

Gulf Islands National Seashore as well as other parts of the government may be staying shut for some time to come. President Trump said the government is not going to open until the border wall is funded. After offering holiday greetings to U.S. troops stationed around the country and the world the President said that drug flows and human trafficking into the U.S. can only be stopped by a wall. Democrats oppose spending the money the President wants on a wall, pushing instead for increased use of technology to control access at the border and they blame the President for the shutdown
