GULF BREEZE MAYOR RESIGNS

Gulf Breeze Mayor David Landfair has resigned after saying he made an error in judgment by engaging in inappropriate texting with a woman. Landfair emailed his resignation to the Gulf Breeze city manager, and admitted to texting a woman, but did not go into detail about the nature of the texts. Councilwoman and Mayor Pro Tem Cherry Fitch will now assume the mayor’s position. The council will appoint another person to the City Council and no election will be held.
