OKALOOSA TEACHERS ARRESTED

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says a teacher and two aides at a Fort Walton Beach School for with children disabilities are being charged with aggravated child abuse in connection with incidents which took place between September 1st and November 14th of 2018. 48-year-old Margaret Wolthers, a teacher at Silver Sands Elementary, and teacher’s aides Carolyn Madison, Diana LaCroix are charged with  abusing three autistic children; one aged ten and two eight years old. A warrant has also been issued for Sharon Burt, guidance counselor at Shalimar Elementary School for failing to report a sexual abuse allegation to Florida Department of Children and Families.
