GULF ISLANDS NATIONAL SEASHORE TO REOPEN

Now that the government has reopened – at least temporarily – Gulf Islands National Seashore plans to resume regular operations as soon as possible. Perdido Key, Fort Barrancas, Naval Live Oaks, and Okaloosa areas all opened at noon on Monday. There are still some areas of sand on the roadway, which will be cleared prior to reopening. The Opal Beach facilities are also being evaluated and a reopening schedule will be announced.
