LION FISH TOURNAMENT

Okaloosa County had kicked off a three-month fishing tournament that will target Lion Fish. Marine Resource Coordinator Alex Fogg said the invasive species is preying on native species and organizers hope competitors will remove more than 10,000 lionfish from the Gulf. The tournament will wrap up with a lionfish festival on May 18th and 19th at Harbor Walk Village.
