The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office says a registered sex offender has been arrested for sexually assaulting a girl starting in 1995 when she was just four or five years old. As the victim got older, there was an increase in frequency in the abuse, and that victim has now been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Another victim has come forward and said she too had been sexually abused by Lawlis. Lawlis has been arrested and charged with sexual assault and sex offender violation and is being held in the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office on a $505,000 bond.
