CHILD MURDER CASE FOLLOW-UP

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has released more information about the murder of a 3-year-old child last Friday in Niceville. Frederick Franken Jr. was found dead from multiple stab wounds in his home. The boy’s father, 61-year-old Frederick Franken Sr., was found beside the boy with multiple self-inflicted stab wounds. The toddler was pronounced dead at the scene, the father is in stable condition at an area hospital. The child’s mother told investigators she had recently told her husband she wanted a divorce.
