NORTH ESCAMBIA COUNTY CONTROLLED BURNS

Several large controlled burns continue in the North Escambia County area. The largest is just over 200 acres on ECUA property south of Becks Lake Road in Cantonment. Other controlled burns are just south of Highway 196 near Jacks Branch Road; areas around Highway 97A and Waters Ferry Road, Northwest of Morgan Road and South Highway 99 and Northwest of Nokomis Road and Rockaway Creek Road. Motorists are advised to use extra caution in the burn areas as smoke could reduce visibility.
