A former Green Beret master sergeant from Crestview will be sentenced Tuesday in Federal Court for trying to import and distribute cocaine. Daniel Gould and co-defendant, Henry Royer of North Carolina, will be sentenced by Senior Judge Roger Vinson at 2 p.m. in Pensacola. Both men face 10 years to life in prison for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute after they were caught smuggling cocaine from Colombia into the United States in August of 2018. Forty kilograms of cocaine, worth about a million dollars, was seized. Both Gould and Royer pleaded guilty to the possession and distribution charges.
