An Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Deputy has been arrested and charged with attempting to solicit sex from a 9-year-old girl. Sheriff Larry Ashley said 41-year-old Cansas Sadler Jr. is also facing charges in Polk County. He said Sadler has been fired from the Sheriff’s Office, since he was still on new-hire probationary status. The investigation began on June 11th when the mother of a 9-year-old girl reported that she became aware that her daughter was communicating on-line with an unknown adult man and that those communications were sexual in nature. Sadler was taken into custody after a search warrants was obtained. He is facing multiple felony charges.
