NEW FAT ALBERT COMING

The Navy’s Blue Angels flight demonstration team will soon have a new Fat Albert cargo plane. The Navy said Monday that it had awarded a 29.7 million-dollar contract to the British Royal Air Force to purchase a C-130-J Super Hercules. Buying the used British aircraft will save about 50 million dollars. The aircraft will be delivered to the Blue Angels next spring. The previous Fat Albert was retired after 17 years and after accumulating more than 30,000 flight hours.
