The Florida Highway Patrol says two people were killed in a traffic crash in Okaloosa County early Saturday evening. Troopers say the driver of a van was traveling on a private road on Eglin Air Force Base, and pulled out in front of a vehicle driven by 58-year-old Shari Ward. Both drivers were killed. Three passengers in the van were taken to hospital with injuries ranging from minor to critical. The name of the first driver has not yet been released and the investigation is continuing.
