BLUE ANGELS PERFORM

Rough seas and windy weather Saturday did not stop the Blue Angels from performing an abbreviated, but spectacular show for the Pensacola Beach Air Show. The 20-minute flight exhibition started off with a low beach flyover and then a sneak attack from behind the beach, to the delight of the crowd. Although the weather conditions kept the crowds down, our area was spared much of the winds and rains generated by Tropical Storm Barry, which did make it to hurricane 1 status just before going ashore in Louisiana.
