LAZY RIVER REOPENS IN DESTIN

The lazy river at Big Kahuna’s Water & Adventure Park in Destin has reopened after being closed for two days due to a health concern. A woman said she became ill after swallowing pool water at the park on July 6^th. A doctor that she had an infection caused by ingesting E. Coli bacteria. The Okaloosa County Department of Health tested the water and said the sanitizer levels and pH levels were lower than required by the Florida Administrative Code. After further testing showed the levels were at the appropriate levels the Lazy River was reopened.
