DELAYED PENSACOLA PEDESTRIAN FATALITY

Pensacola Police says a pedestrian who was struck by an SUV on Tuesday night in Pensacola, has died. It happened near the intersection of Pace Boulevard and Cervantes Street at about 8:30 p.m. and Department spokesman, Officer Mike Wood said the driver fled the scene. The SUV was last seen northbound on Pace Boulevard at a high rate of speed. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the Pensacola Police Department or to call Crime Stoppers at 850-433-STOP. This is the seventh traffic fatality this week in Escambia County
