TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE RECONSTRUCTION

Tyndall Air Force Base in Bay County is undertaking most of its missions again after taking a direct hit from Hurricane Michael last year. 11 months after the storm, repair and demolition work continues and Colonel Brian Laidlaw, commander of the 325th Fighter Wing, said nearly all of pre-storm missions are being performed. Construction is expected to continue until 2024 and Tyndall will get up to three squadrons of F-35s starting in 2023.
