The Santa Rosa County School District taking steps to prohibit inappropriate student grade changes in schools. School Superintendent Tim Wryosdick (“Roz-Dick”) said a multi-step grade change procedure will be implemented and a common grade change form will be issued for all schools. The changes come after a grade-change scandal at Gulf Breeze High School last month that led to the resignation of Assistant Principal Tori Baker and a five-day suspension of Principal Danny Brothers. Baker admitted to changing her daughter’s grade to improve her class ranking, and resigned her position rather than be fired.
