The Florida Highway Patrol says a 31-year-old North Escambia County man was killed Monday night in a vehicle crash on Pine Forest Road about a mile off Highway 97. Troopers say 31-year-old Clayton Cagle, lost control of his SUV, went off the road and hit a tree. Cagle was pronounced dead at the scene. An 8-year-old boy in the vehicle was transported to an Atmore, Alabama, hospital with minor injuries.
