DEATH INVESTIGATION

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says a domestic dispute yesterday afternoon resulted in a man firing a shot at a woman’s car, then taking his own life. Investigators said the man and the woman were driving beside each another in separate cars near Fairfield Drive and Pace Boulevard when the man fired a gun at the woman’s car. The woman was not injured and called law enforcement. Deputies located the man’s vehicle, but he refused to stop. The pursuit ended near Chicago Avenue off of Michigan Avenue when the man shot himself in the head. No names have been released and the investigation is continuing.
