SNAPCHAT SCAM

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says a Snapchat scam is targeting teenage girls. The victims receive text messages from an individual posing as one of their friends, who says they are locked out of their own Snapchat account and need help logging in using the victim’s account information. If the victim complies the scammer then locks the victim out  by changing the password and demands money or their private pictures will be posted on the account’s public page. At least one victim sent money, only to be locked out again with another demand for more money.
