The Florida Highway Patrol said a 7-year-old Gulf Breeze boy was seriously injured after a traffic crash at Highway 98 and Sunrise Drive. He was a passenger in a car driven by 35-year-old Ashley Hoffman, that was hit by a car driven by 50-year-old Amanda Burrell, of Navarre who was attempting to make a U-turn onto Sunrise Drive. Hoffman was charged with failing to yield at an intersection. Hoffman and the child were taken to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. Burrell sustained minor injuries and was taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.
