GKN Aerospace has closed their facility at Venture Crossing in Panama City after previously making promises to invest 55 million dollars and create 170 high paying jobs. 60 people have been laid off. Becca Hardin, President of Bay Economic Development Alliance said Career Source has been working to get the people who lost their jobs to transition to a new one. GKN will wind-down the facility over the next couple of months and the company announced that it will be opening a new facility in India. GKN operates in 15 different countries with 18,000 employees.
