The strong storm system that moved through the Florida Panhandle yesterday caused damage in the City of Destin. Downed trees blocked roadways, some homes had roofs completely ripped off, and there was damage to other structures and businesses. At one point, Harbor Boulevard was temporarily closed after a metal awning blew onto the highway. Crews worked to make repairs and assess damage across the area. No injuries were reported.
