Escambia County School Superintendent Malcolm Thomas said School District employees will begin working from home today after the “Safer at Home” Executive Order was issued by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Access to all Escambia County School District facilities will be closed to the public through the end of the order on May 1st, but School feeding sites will remain open. Thomas said parents and guardians will be able to leave voicemail messages on school telephone lines and calls will be returned as quickly as possible.
