WALTON COUNTY BURN BAN LIFTED

Because of the recent rainfall Walton County Commissioners have ended the county’s ban on outdoor burning activities which has been in place for two weeks. The ban was implemented after the Mussett Bayou wildfire burned more than 300 acres in South Walton County, destroyed 30 homes and damaging two dozen other dwellings. That fire was declared 100 percent contained by the Florida Forest Service late last week.
