OKALOOSA COUNTY SEWAGE SPILL

The Florida Department of Health in Okaloosa County says a health advisory remains in effect for Cinco Bayou, where approximately 300 gallons of untreated waste water entered the water near a public boat ramp on Sunday. The spill was reported to Okaloosa County Water and Sewer on Sunday at around 8:30 a.m. The health advisory extends from Gap Creek to Ewing Court and includes the boat ramp area on Water Street. The spill was caused by an electrical failure at a lift station on Water Street.
