OKALOOSA COUNTY SHOOTER ARRESTED

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says a 41-year-old Fort Walton Beach man was arrested after he fired shots into a bedroom where a family member was locked inside. Deputies were called to the home on Rocky Avenue around 4:30 a.m. for shots fired. John Terry refused to come out, and deputies heard nine shots fired inside the home. No one was hit, but one round went through the window and over the public right of way on Rickey Avenue. Terry eventually surrendered and was charged with using a firearm while intoxicated, discharging a firearm over a public roadway, and firing a deadly missile into a dwelling.
