BURGLAR ARRESTED

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Department says a burglar was caught in the act trying to break into a utility trailer on Wiley Scott Road, in Jay. 32-year-old Michael Shelby was seen by the owner at a barn in the 5300 block of Wiley Scott Road. The responding deputy said Shelby appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or narcotics. Shelby admitted smoking spice and remains in the Santa Rosa County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
