PURPLE AND RED FLAGS FLY AT BEACH

Pensacola Beach Lifeguards say the Beach is under a purple flag warning for the first time this season because of the high number of jellyfish in the water. Purple flags indicate dangerous marine animals have been seen in the area. Meanwhile, a low-pressure system in the Gulf is causing high surf at the beach, which has also caused lifeguards to post red flags which prohibits swimming. Red flags will probably fly at least through tomorrow.
