. CENTURY CORRECTIONAL INMATE KILLED

The Florida Department of Corrections says an inmate at the Century Correctional Institute was killed by another inmate last week. 79-year-old Nelson Sanderson was serving two life sentences for sex offenses involving a juvenile. Department officials released few details of the attack or the name of the inmate who was responsible saying the incident is currently an active homicide investigation being conducted by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement with assistance from the Department of Corrections Office of Inspector General.
