COVID VACCINE IN PENSACOLA

Acension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola received its first shipment of COVID-19 vaccine Monday and started vaccinating frontline medical staff. The hospital received 4,500 doses of the vaccine from Moderna, which has been shipped to 173 hospitals across the state after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration authorized the vaccine for emergency use Friday. Ascension Sacred Heart was one of three hospital systems in Pensacola that are expected to receive shipments of the vaccine this week.
