PENSACOLA WATERFRONT REPAIRS

Much of Pensacola’s public waterfront areas remain closed to the public because of damage caused by Hurricane Sally. The City is working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency to pay for repairs to Bruce Beach, Sanders Beach boats and boardwalk, the Bayview Park pier, the waterfront area at Community Maritime Park, Plaza de Luna, Wayside Park, Commendencia Slip and the Palafox Marina breakwater. Property along the waterfront can’t be insured but is eligible for FEMA funds. Many of those areas will likely remain closed until this summer.
