ECAT MASK REQUIREMENTS

Escambia County Area Transit officials are reminding residents that an executive order signed by President Biden on January 21^st requires face masks if they intend to ride public transportation. That rule had already been put into effect by ECAT on December 21^st. ECAT has been providing free face masks to riders since June 1^st, although riders are encouraged to bring their own masks. There are exemptions including children under the age of 2 and people with a disability who cannot wear a mask. If a passenger meets one of the above requirements that prevents mask wearing, they must notify the bus operator.
