The Escambia County Sheriff’s Department says a 34-year-old Cantonment man, wanted in Mississippi on a rape charge, was arrested in Molino. An Escambia County deputy on patrol found Robert Boyette in a car next to a closed business on Molino Road. A records check indicated there was an outstanding warrant for Boyette. When deputies searched Boyette, they found marijuana, methamphetamine and crack cocaine. He also had a switchblade knife. He was booked into the Escambia County Jail on several narcotics charges and is awaiting extradition back to Lauderdale County, Mississippi, to face the rape charge.
