TIGER ATTACK 10-27-16

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission is investigating the tiger attack that happened Tuesday at the Pensacola Interstate Fair. The FWC said animal trainer Vicenta Pages was bitten and clawed by the tiger about 3:30pm during a private performance for children on a field trip. The injuries were serious and required surgery. PETA, the animal advocacy group, sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Agriculture saying they believe the incident violates Federal Animal Welfare Act regulations. The show is licensed by the Conservation Commission for Class I wildlife. The investigation is on-going.
