An Escambia County School District school bus driver, who was arrested for hitting a student with a hammer, is now on administrative leave without pay. Deputy Superintendent of the Escambia County School District, Norm Ross, said 55-year-old Jimmy Edwards is still employed with the district, but will remain on administrative leave without pay pending the outcome of his criminal case. School Bus Monitor 54-year-old Pamela Bethea who was also arrested, remains on administrative leave with pay.
