The man suspected of shooting at a Pensacola Police officer on December 2nd has been arrested. 23-year-old Tijuan Johnson turned himself in at the Escambia County Jail yesterday. Pensacola Police Officer Matthew Mercado located Johnson riding his bike after he was believed to have been involved in an armed disturbance on Highland Drive off 9th Avenue. When Officer Mercado attempted to stop Johnson he fired one shot then fled on foot. Mercado was not injured. Johnson has been booked into the Escambia County Jail.
