Mary Rice, serial killer William Boyette’s companion in crime, appeared in front of Santa Rosa County Judge Jose Giraud by video yesterday. She was granted a $750,000 cash bond because Assistant State Attorney James Parker did not file pre-trial detention. She arrived in Santa Rosa County just after 5 p.m. Wednesday after making the four-hour trip from Troup County, Georgia where the two were found in a motel in West Point, Georgia. She and William Boyette were wanted for 4 murders in Florida and Alabama and after a standoff Rice surrendered and Boyette killed himself.
