The National Transportation Safety Board has released new information on a plane crash that killed a couple flying to Destin last year to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Doctor Sheryl Roe and Jim Shumberg, who was piloting the aircraft, departed the Pearland Regional Airport outside of Houston, Texas, on February 12, 2016 in a single engine airplane. The plane was maneuvering at night in windy conditions attempting to land at the Destin Executive Airport when it went down in the Gulf. Toxicology reports showed the pilot was not under the influence at the time of the crash.
