Thousands of travelers – including some flying into and out of Pensacola on Delta Airlines – have been affected by flight cancellations and delays. On Wednesday, severe weather in the southeastern part of the United States disrupted flights at Delta’s biggest and busiest hub in Atlanta. Then on Saturday, at least 275 flights were cancelled, bringing the total since Wednesday to more than 3,000. At the Pensacola International Airport, every arriving and departing flight on Saturday was either delayed or canceled. Delta’s Chief Operating Officer Gil West apologized and said passengers are entitled to a refund if the traveler’s flight was canceled and they do not book another flight.
