Authorities have arrested a hit and run driver involved in a deadly golf cart accident near the Alabama state line Tuesday afternoon. About 4:30pm, Flomaton, Alabama Police said a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Garrett Williamson struck the golf cart on Old Fannie Road in Flomaton. Myrtle Rolin was flown by Life Guard helicopter to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola where she later died. James Foster was airlifted by Life Flight to Baptist Hospital in Pensacola where he was listed in stable condition. Rolin and Foster are both from Century. Williamson is charged with reckless murder and leaving the scene of an accident with injury or death.
