Gulf Islands National Seashore re-opened Fort Pickens Road Saturday, as work to repair damage from Hurricane Nate is completed. The road,  camp ground and other facilities, were closed in October because of damage from Hurricane Nate. The Fort Pickens Area is resuming normal operations from 5 a.m. to 6 pm. daily, but some beach parking lots will remain closed temporarily due to sand. Ranger programs will resume immediately.
